- Description
- The work consists of the contractor furnishing all labor, material, equipment, supervision, work and facilities necessary to perform all operations, in strict accordance with specifications and applicable drawings. The scope of work for this project is to (1) Repair the existing aircraft hangar door tracks and wheels by replacement; (2) Repair hangar door track and apron ice and snow melt heating systems; and (3) Convert remainder of heating system to glycol, including replacement of side-wall unit heaters, office heating systems, and heating systems piping/equipment back to the first flange from utilidor, and remove unused/abandoned equipment (including unused unit heaters). Asbestos, lead-based paints, and PCBs will be encountered in this project. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 238220 with a size standard of $12 million. The magnitude of this project is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. This acquisition is being solicited under full and open competition conditions with a HUBZone Evaluation Preference in accordance with FAR 19.1307. THIS SOLICITATION IS PAPERLESS AND WILL BE AVAILABLE VIA CD-ROM. AMENDMENTS WILL BE PROVIDED ON THE INTERNET ONLY. Award will be a Firm Fixed Price contract and the total performance period is 150 Calendar days. **NOTE: All contractors must be registered in the Centralized Contractor Registration (CCR) program in order to receive a contract award from any DOD activity. Contractors may access the Internet site at: http://www.ccr.gov to register and/or obtain information about the CCR program.** The solicitation will be available on or about 30 May 03.
