- Description
- The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS)through the Program Support Center (PSC), intends to award a twelve month sole source simplified acquisition to the National Association of State Mental Health Program Directors. The purpose of this simplified acquisition is to obtain information and analysis of State planning and collaboration with public health ,including identification of limitations, barriers and challenges faced in developing and implementing comprehensive disaster plans, to interview State and local experts regarding needs and challenges related to joint disaster planning and collaboration, and to develop guidance on State planning collaboration.. Closing date for this announcement is August 11, 2003. The proposed simplified acquisition action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed simplified acquisition based upon responses to this Notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Contractors may forward capability statements to the referenced address within 15 days after the date of publication of this Notice. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
