Description
FIRST NOTICE Qualified small business sources are currently being sought for a commercial activity cost comparison study in accordance with OMB Circular A-76. The intent of the study is to determine the most efficient method of providing Retail Supply functions at the Naval Base Ventura County (NBVC) California in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and related technical attachments, which can be obtained from the Contract Specialist at the e-mail address identified below. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 493190 (Other Warehousing and Storage), which establishes a small business size standard of $18M. The proposed acquisition may be competed as a Small Business Set-Aside based upon the number of responses from small business concerns and identification of their technical capabilities. Small Business firms shall complete and provid e the Technical Capability Information Sheet (TCIS), which can be obtained from the Contract Specialist at the e-mail address identified below. Small Businesses shall identify their business status (i.e. HUBZone small business, Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB), Woman-owned, Native American (tribally owned or Alaskan native) and provide all information requested. In addition, contractors that are interested in subcontracting opportunities should also complete the TCIS and specify what functions they are interested in and capable of performing. This information may be used to develop any subcontracting goals. The contract information provided under the past performance section, shall only include those contracts that are similar to the effort identified in the TCIS and the draft PWS. All interested Potential contractors will be required to perform the functions identified under the heading "Requirement" of the TCIS. Provide the information requested to the Contract Specialist via e-mail address: maria.papet@navy.mil. Responses must be received NO LATER THAN 6 August 2003. Telephone and facsimile responses to this synopsis will not be accepted. In addition to the TCIS, the Draft PWS and technical attachments can be obtained from the Contract Specialist at maria.papet@navy.mil. ONLY E-MAIL REQUESTS FOR COPIES OF THE ABOVE NAMED DOCUMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED. NO SOLICITATION EXISTS AT THIS TIME.
