- For Immediate Release Contact: Listen to Phone Message July 24, 2003 Phone: (303) 969-2789 The National Park Service, Denver Service Center announces possible interruption of connectivity to FedBizOpps and National Business Center electronic commerce websites. This announcement is intended to inform the contracting community of the possibility that solicitations currently being advertised by the National Park Service, Denver Service Center on two Federal government electronic commerce websites including FedBizOpps (http://www.fedbizopps.gov/) and the National Business Center (http://ideasec.nbc.gov/) may be impacted by a potential shutdown of National Park Service internet connectivity as early as Monday, July 28, 2003. As part of ongoing litigation we have been advised that an order may be issued requiring the National Park Service to cease all internet operations. This announcement explains to potential offerors the steps which will be taken by the National Park Service - Denver Service Center as well as actions which will need to be taken by prospective offerors in order to mitigate the impact of this shutdown to ensure that the procurement process is minimally impacted. The Denver Service Center has established a general information telephone line to provide current updates to offerors regarding the connectivity shutdown and to provide a listing of contacts for each of the affected solicitations. Offerors should call (303) 969-2789 and listen to the recorded message for information on the solicitation for which they are interested. The phone message will be updated twice per week on Tuesday and Friday mornings by 8:00 am MDT. As a workable alternative to potential offerors downloading files from the website, the Denver Service Center will make every effort to provide all information pertinent to the solicitation including the solicitation, all amendments, attachments, plans and specifications available on compact disk(s). Offerors can request this information by calling the listed contact person. Information will be mailed to the requestor by overnight mail. It should be noted that offerors that register on the website for a solicitation by 12:00 MDT Friday, 7/25/03 will be included on an electronic bidders mailing list and will receive amendments automatically without having to call. Offerors are reminded that it is imperative they contact the listed Contract Specialist prior to the close of the respective solicitation period to ensure that they have a current and complete set of solicitation documents prior to submitting their offers. No extensions to originally scheduled RFP closing dates are anticipated at this time.
