NOTE: HOWEVER, IN THE EVENT OF A SHUTDOWN THROUGH THE ELECTRONIC COMMERCE ACCESS TO THE NATIONAL PARK SERVICE WEBSITE ON OR ABOUT JULY 28, 2003, CONTRACTORS ARE ADVISED TO CONTACT CAROL A. AXLEY, CONTRACTING OFFICER, TEL.: (415) 561-4793, TO REQUEST A PAPER COPY OF THE SOLICITATION. The National Park Service, Golden Gate National Recreation Area has identified a requirement for the conservation and stabilization of three historic cannons located along the coast of the San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean. The goal of the conservation treatment will be to stabilize the surfaces against corrosion and to provide a barrier between the environment (including the public element) and the metal surface. The project also includes repairing or replacing two wooden replica mounts and possibly replacing two large rubber tires. This procurement is a 100% small business set-aside. The Government anticipates the award of a firm fixed price contract. The NAICS code is 541990 and the small business size standard is $6.0 million. Responses will be due approximately 30 days after issuance of the Request for Quotation (RFQ) No. Q8158031903, which will be approximately 14 days after this anouncement. Refer to the actual RFQ for actual dates. A MANDATORY SITE VISIT is scheduled for Monday, August18, 2003 at 10:00 A.M. at the intersection of Lincoln Blvd. and Funston Ave. in the Presidio, San Francisco, CA. Search by referencing the solicitation number, Department of the Interior, National Park Service, Fort Mason, Building 201, San Francisco, CA, 94123, Tel.: (415) 561-4793, Fax (415) 51-4795. Individual requests for solicitation packages will not be accepted. In order to download a copy of the solicitation, vendors are required to register their firm with the electronic website. Firms are advised to be prepared with their company's DUNS number, available from DUNN and BRADSTREET at 1-888-546-0024, and their Federal Tax Identification (TIN).
