Description

Estimated Request for Proposal Issue Date: 14 Aug 2003. Estimated Proposal Closing Date: 29 Aug 2003. This will be an electronic solicitation release. No hard copies will be mailed. Solicitation, amendments and other miscellaneous documents will be posted to FedBizOpps (http://www.eps.gov). It is the responsibility of each offeror to review the web page for notice of amendments, updates or changes to current information. The subject acquisition is for abatement of asbestos containing material (ACM) and lead based paint (LBP) located in Buildings 1002, 1003 (and outbuilding), and 1007 Ft. Wright Waterworks and Geiger Heights Pump Station, property of Fairchild Air Force Base, Washington. The locations of the two worksites are approximately 3 miles west of Spokane, WA and 10 miles east of Fairchild AFB, WA. ACM is federally regulated and requires special handling and disposal procedures. The contractor shall abide by all federal, state, and local regulations. The contractor will be required to furnish all materials, equipment and personnel necessary to manage and accomplish the project. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this solicitation is section 562910, Remediation Services. NAICS size standard is $7.0 million. The performance period will be 150 days. This acquisition is set aside for Small Business concerns. The construction magnitude is between $25,000 and $100,000. In order to be eligible for award, registration in the Central Contractor Registration database is required. To register, please go to http://www.ccr.gov. This is a competitive Request for Proposal, which will be processed through competitive negotiation procedures utilizing best value in terms of price versus past performance trade off procedures.
