Description
The Social Security Administration (SSA) is seeking GSA sources to provide maintenance for Government-owned Hewlett Packard (HP) hardware and software (SW) support for a five (5) year systems life when the current contract with Hewlett Packard, 9737 Washingtonian Blvd., Gaithersburg, MD expires on September 30, 2003. Only GSA sources are being sought. Maintenance will be required at the SSA Headquarters? National Computer Center in Woodlawn, MD and six (6) Program Service Centers (PSC) located in Jamaica, NY; Philadelphia, PA; Chicago, IL; Birmingham, AL; Kansas City, MO; and Richmond, CA. The HP hardware includes: 10 - HP9000 K450 Servers w/128 MB ECC memory, 19 - HP9000 N4000 Enterprise Servers, and 1 ? HP9000 V2600 Server. See sample hardware inventory below. The software support includes access to HP Micro Focus Object COBOL License to Use (LTU) Development, HP C/ANSI C Developer Bundle Server LTU, System License for HP9000 Tier 2SPU?s, HP 9000 OS SW Update compact disk (CD), HP-Unix (UX) Operating System License Servers. SSA reserves the right to add and delete like hardware and software under the replacement contract. The HP servers are used to support mission critical projects such as: (1) The Integrated Human Resources System (IHRS) is used by the Office of Human to maintain employee records and critical payroll records;(2) The Reengineered Disability System (RDS) is used to process disability claims from beneficiaries; and (3) The Disability Case Adjudication and review System (DCAR) is used by SSA to track disability folders while a claim is being processed. The Contractor must be able to provide SSA technicians direct access to the HP hotline and the HP Web Site. The Contractor must provide SSA with a customer number that allows SSA to call HP?s Tech-Support and /or Access their Web Site 24-Hours per Day seven days a week to down load patches, software fixes and new releases. The Contractor must identify at least two (2) Original Equipment Manufacture (OEM) certified employees to cover each SSA site. At least one of the certified OEM technicians must be available 24-hours. Contractor employee (s) performing on-site at SSA facilities must meet the agency?s security clearance. They must complete some or all of the listed security forms: FD ?258, Fingerprint Charts; GSA 176, Statement of Personal History; Optional Form 306, Declaration for Federal Employment; Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA)authorization form; and a legible photocopy of the work authorization permit and social security card for a NON-US citizen. Interested GSA firms who can meet these requirements are invited to submit information in sufficient detail to the SSA Contracting Officer. GSA firms interested in participating under the GSA Teaming Arrangement must submit the appropriate documentation pursuant to FAR 9.6 during the proposal phase. Firms should include corporate experience; three (3) references of customers receiving ?similar? service on like HP equipment/software; technical literature; OEM certification; and a copy of your GSA schedule. Cost or pricing data maybe submitted. This is not a request for proposals (RFP) and the Government does not intend to pay for information submitted. Respondents will not be notified of the evaluation results on data received. No contract award will be made on the basis of responses received; however, this information will be used in SSA?s assessment of capable sources. Responses to this notice should be submitted within 15 days of this publication. Email documents are acceptable.
