- U.S. Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, located in Iwakuni city of Yamaguchi prefecture, Japan, intends to issue a competitive solicitation for a contract to provide products required to support the Hazmat center. Items and specifications are: Item 1. 1 each Hazmat Storage System with the following features: -60 Sections. Dimensions of a section: 42" x 53" x 12'8"? with Top Frames; -4 Adjustable pallets per section; -Safety signs -Plastic containment liners at the bottom of each section; -Material: Steel; -Color: Hazmat Yellow; -Load capacity per pallet is 2,000 lbs; -Load capacity per storage section is 25,000 lbs; Quotes should include price for items, shipping and installation. Ship to: Defense Distribution Depot, San Joaquin, at Tracy, CA. FOB Point: Destination Desired Delivery Date: 1 month after date of order Place of installation: Hazmat W arehouse, MCAS Iwakuni, Japan The request for quotation is scheduled to be released on or about August 1, 2003. In case of conflicts between information contained in the formal solicitation and that contained in this pre-solicitation notice, the information in the formal solicitation will govern. The estimated closing date for receipt of quotations is 3 weeks after issue of the solicitation.
