- Description
- The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division intends to negotiate and award a sole source contract to Oregon Iron Works (OIW), 9700 S.E. Lawnfield Road, Clackamas, OR 97015, to construct a follow-on SEALION Technology Demonstration Craft. The follow-on craft will incorporate ?lessons learned? from design, construction and test of the first SEALION craft, and from OIW?s ongoing modular payload development efforts. When completed, the craft will be used by the Navy to provide a test-bed for littoral warfare concepts and equipment. Optionally, OIW may be tasked to design and build one or more modules compatible with the new craft, as well as a transporter. The period of performance is approximately thirty (30) months. Award of a Firm-Fixed-Price type contract is anticipated. See Note 22.
