- NA This announcement hereby amends the Presolicitation Notice for DABJ01-03-B-0027. The changes are as follows: The Cleaning and Inspection of fireplaces and chimneys includes 75 units. In addition to the Cleaning and Inspection of fireplaces and chimneys, this IFB will now include Chimney Repair of 15 Buildings and additional line items to repair chimneys. Perfo rmance will be located in Army Family Housing, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. All work shall be completed within 365 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. This will no longer be a requirements contract. The typical family building in housing areas 2 are mul tistory buildings consisting of two-or three-story high and some with attic space. Roofing materials for the above housing areas are made out of asphalt, fiberglass, metal or slate shingles and have a slope around 8 to 12 and 12 to 12. Chimneys?????? hei ght ranges from 5 to 11 feet high above the roof. Contractor shall make a site visit to determine the actual configuration of the buildings. The acquisition is Restricted to Small Business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 561790. The size standard for a Small Business concern is $6 million. The Invitation for Bids (IFB) Reference number is DABJ01-03-B-0027 will be issued on or about 13 August 2003. The IFB and reference documents will be made avai lable for downloading from FedBizOps at www.FedBizOpps.gov. Bidders must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (www.ccr.gov) to be eligible for award.
