- Description
- NA Contractor shall provide Reference Laboratory Testing Services as required by the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Centers and medical facilities located in Veterans Integrated Service Network-23 (VISN-23). Network-23 includes VA Medical Centers and health care facilities located in Minneapolis, MN; St. Cloud, MN; Fargo, ND; Sioux Falls, SD; Hot Springs, SD; Fort Meade, SD; Des Moines, IA; Knoxville, IA; Iowa City, IA; Omaha, NE; Lincoln, NE; Grand Island, NE. Please note that not all facilities in VA Network-23 may require the use of any awarded contract. The Contractor shall provide laboratory testing services to include: necessary shipping and packing materials, pick up and transport of specimens to contractor=92s laboratory; processing and analysis of specimen; and reporting of analytic results through means of electronic communication to the VA Medical Centers. Consultation regarding selection, collection, transportation and result interpretation shall also be provided when required. It is anticipated that a firm fixed price contract will be awarded for a Base Year with four 12-month options to renew, for a total contract period not to exceed 5 calendar years. This procurement is being conducted under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.5 test program; simplified acquisition procedures apply. VA will conduct the procurement according to a combination of FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures.=20 Solicitation documents will be available on or about July 23, 2003 and proposals are due August 21, 2003 by 4:30pm CST.
