- Description
- The Department of Energy's National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Service Center located in Albuquerque, NM, intends to award a purchase order to ITT Night Vision, 7635 Plantation Road, Roanoke, VA 24019, on a sole source basis. The item to be purchased under this order is a Helmet Mount Assembly, Part Number 275306, Mich helmet, includes screw and sex bolt; Black in color. The number of Helmet Mounts to be ordered is 300 each. ITT Night Vision has been determined to be the only company who can meet the needs of the NNSA Service Center. This determination is based on the fact that ITT Night Vision is the manufacture of the helmet mount and that the mount is the only mount available to mount an ITT Night Vision Device PVS-7 or PVS-14 to the Gen-Tex Tactical Ballistic Helmet. Numbered Note 22 applies to this action. This proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received prior to the response due date/time will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
