Description
The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), intends to procure contractor services to install a new parking lot surfacing and repair existing gravel surfaced drive areas at Chesapeake Bay Marine Science Center, Oxford, Maryland. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, material, equipment and each and every item of expense for the following work including but not limited to, demolition of certain existing asphalt surfaced parking areas, installation of poured concrete curb, poured concrete border strips, environmental paver parking areas (including granular base & bedding), 4 inch asphalt paved drives (including base course with 2- 2 inch lifts), and refurbishing approximately 1,000 ft of a gravel access roadway. The size of project is between $100,000 and $200,000. This is a 100% small business set aside. The NAICS code is 236220 and the small business size standard is a maximum of $28.5 million average annual gross revenue for the last three fiscal years. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed price contract to the responsible offeror. Offers will be evaluated based on experience with similar types of construction, past performance, proposed schedule and cost. The completion time for this project is a maximum of 45 calendar days. It is anticipated that the solicitation package will be available on or about August 19, 2003. An on-site meeting will be held for all interested bidders at 9:00 AM EDT, Wednesday, August 27, 2003. Proposals are estimated to be due on September 9, 2003. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered by the agency. Copies of the solicitation documents are limited and will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis. The Central Administrative Support Center, Acquisition Management Division, requires that all contractors doing business with this Acquisition Office must be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) before October 1, 2003. After this date, NO award can be made unless the vender is registered in CCR. For additional information and to register in CCR please access the following web site: http://www.ccr.gov/.
