- Description
- Project consist of providing the following work necessary to construct a single-lane road bridge to replace an existing multi-plate culvert across War Creek on Forest Service road 4420: engineering bridge and roadway designs and associated documents for approval: construction staking; furnishing all materials, equipment, transportation, supervision and labor necessary for construction of the replacement bridge, approach roadways and associated items; providing construction quality-control; preparing and submitting as-built bridge drawings; as well as removal and disposal of the existing multi-plate culvert. Aggregate from a commerical source, water diversion required, boulders for riprap on site.To access the project site from Twisp,Washington travel north on State highway 20 (North Cascade Highway)to the junction of County Road 9114- Twisp River Road. Travel west on County Road 9114 - Twisp River Road approximately 13 miles (asphalt surfaced) to the junction of forest Road 44. Travel west on Forest Road 44 approximately 1 mile (asphalt surfaced) to Forest Road 4430. Travel approximately 0.5 miles south across the Twisp River on a gravel road to the juction with Forest Road 4420. Travel east on Forest Road 4420 approximately 0.15 miles to the project site where Forest road 4420 crosses War Creek. Estimated cost ranger 100,000- 250,000. Desired start work date August 2003. NIACS 237310, SIZE STANDARD 28.5 MIL. Small Business set-aside.
