- Description
- The National Naval Medical Center (NNMC), Bethesda, MD has a requirement for the Armed Forces Radiobiology Research Institute (AFFRI) for an Automated Histology Tissue Processor. Specific Requirements: MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING: 1. Capability of at least 10 programmable protected programs for flexibility in processing the myriad of tissues from the diverse species of animals which requires different fixation, dehydration and infiltration timing; 2) Inbuilt back-up for safe processing in the event of power outage; 3) Capability of processing a minimum of 220 cassettes per run; 4) Optional vacuum capability during processing; 5) Capable of automatic agitation of solutions during processing; 6) Enclosed capability of reagent and paraffin exchange during processing; 7) Ability to self-contain fumes from reagents through proper filtering devices.
