Description
NA DESCRIPTION: This synopsis replaces the previous synopsis for solicitation DAAE07-03-R-L513. All future actions related to this work effort will be listed under DAAE07-03-R-L514. The United States Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command??????s (TACOM) Ground Vehic le Simulation Laboratory (GVSL) seeks to select a contractor to create design plans, and an option to subsequently fabricate, a reconfigurable crew cab. The crew cab will serve to simulate the ride, spatial, visual and sound parameters, air quality, and p hysiological effects on the human body experienced by typical occupants while riding within the internal crew compartment of various Army ground combat vehicles traveling across bump courses. The crew cab will have all electrical and interior climate cont rol and lighting capabilities to facilitate simulation of the internal operating environment of these Army ground combat vehicles. The crew cab will be reconfigurable allowing it to mimic the internal environment of both current and future Army vehicles. Upon completion, the crew cab design will become the property of the US Government (TACOM-GVSL). The design will include all specifications, drawings and details necessary to fabricate the crew cab. The crew cab will mount on and operate with TACOM-GVSL ??????s existing Crew Station/Turret Motion Base Simulator (CS/TMBS). TACOM-GVSL will provide CS/TMBS interface specifications to interested contractors at a site visit. Site visit information will be included in the solicitation. A base design contract is planned with an option to fabricate, following a successful design effort and funding availability.
