- 28?AUGMENTER EXHAUST NOZZLE--SOLICITATION NUMBER F34601-03-R-0447, OC-ALC/LPKPB TINKER AFB OK 73145-3020. Item 0001 NSN: 2840-01-392-3286PR, P/N: 9521M24G16, Quantity 7 each. Exhaust Nozzle Assy is an assembly mounted just aft of the augmenter assembly consisting of outer duct, inner liner, composite shroud, synchronizing ring, a primary system consisting of 12 flaps and 12 seals, a divergent system consisting of 12 flaps and 12 seals and 12 outer flaps controlled by 6 hydraulic actuators. Included are also miscellaneous fuel and hydraulic tubing electrical cables, synchronizing cable and liner variable differential transformer. Function of the exhaust nozzle assy is to control exhaust gas expansion to improve thrust efficiency with a variable three flap system utilizing colling air from fan discharge to cool internal surfaces during augmenter selection. Uniform movement and geometric stability of the nozzle is provided by mechanical synchronization of nozzle actuators. Dimensions: Length 6.5 feet/36 inch diameter. Material: Rene 41 Sheet. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A Determination by the Government to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely with the desertion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Specifications, plans, or drawings relating to the procurement described are incomplete or not available and cannot be furnished by the Government. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
