- Description
- RFP will be issued on a full and open basis The contractor shall establish and operate in the contractor's name, the food service facility, for the purpose of dispensing food, nonalcoholic beverages, carryout services, other items as may be authorized by the contracting officer, and in-house catering services in accordance with all terms and conditions specified in the RFP. This cafeteria is to be operated for the benefit of approximately 2,774 employees who are the occupants of the CDC campus between the hours of 6:00 a.m. through 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, holidays observed by the Federal Government excepted. Special note: The Government shall not be held responsible for any variation from this employee population figure since the extent of occupancy is not guaranteed. The cafeteria is located on the ground floor with the following estimated dimensions: Kitchen: 5,580 square feet Serving Area: 3,720 square feet Dining Area: 9,300 square feet Total Facility: 18,600 square feet The normal seating configuration in the dining area accommodates 175, but there is additional furniture available to expand seating up to 235. The contracting officer shall announce the beginning date by means of a written Notice to Proceed sent to the contractor. The contract shall be for a period of 5 years effective with the beginning date specified in the Notice to Proceed. At the option of the contracting officer, it may be extended thereafter for terms of from 1 to 5 years. In no event shall the contract period, as extended, exceed a period of 15 years from the beginning date specified in the Notice to Proceed.
