- Description
- The US Postal Service is seeking to award at least one Indefinite Quantity Contract for A/E Services in the NY Metro Area. The contract consists of preparation of contract documents, including drawings and specifications for the following types of projects: Repair, Restoration, Expansion, Alteration or New Construction. Other services to be provided include the preparation of cost estimates, building investigation, code compliance, and construction support services. Firms applying should be design oriented with staff or consultants in civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and other relevant building trades. Firms must be familiar with local codes and regulations. The contract has a guaranteed minimum amount of $5,000, and will be for one year, with individual work orders being issued. Each work order will be negotiated as an individual project. Work orders for any one project cannot exceed $250,000. The contract may be renewed for four one-year periods, based upon past performance, and providing the total contract amount over 5 years does not exceed $5,000,000. The USPS reserves the right to make multiple awards. Firms qualified to perform the services noted above are invited to submit a completed Qualification Statement, which includes SF-255, Architect-Engineer and Related Services Questionnaire for Specific Project and SF-254, Architect-Engineer and Related Services Questionnaire for the firm and each of the proposed consultants. Firms with more than one office must indicate on the SF-255 the staffing composition of the office in which the work will be performed. The selection will be based on the submitted Qualification Statement, an interview, past performance, and the following minimum requirements: (1) Your company or branch office must be located in one of the following Counties or Boroughs: In the State of New York: Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, Bronx, Staten Island, Nassau, Suffolk, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Westchester and in the State of New Jersey: Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, Morris, Ocean, Passaic, Somerset, Union. Firms will be considered only if their sole office or a local branch office is within the geographic area as defined above, and all design, coordination, and management of the project will be performed in that office. There is no restriction on the geographic location of consultants. (2) Evidence of current errors and omissions insurance of $200,000 per claim, minimum. (3) Your company or branch office must have been in business, under the firm?s present name, for a minimum of five consecutive years. To the fullest extent possible, the US Postal Service welcomes the participation of women and/or minority owned/operated A-E firms. It is prohibited to pay any fee to any person or firm contingent upon or resulting from the award of a contract for this project. Personal visits and phone calls for the purpose of discussing this solicitation are not permitted. Submissions will not be retained or returned. This is not a request for proposal.
