- Description
- The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) intends to award a contract for the purchase of on-site support services that will include preventive maintenance, on-site technical support services, per-call maintenance service and replacement parts in support of the IRS Security Management (IRSSMS) and Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) systems. This requirement currently includes Monitor Dynamics Inc. (MDI) file servers, workstations, badging stations, printers, badging encoders, associated software and software upgrades, all accessories and hardware. The required services have been determined to meet the definition of commercial items in accordance with Part 2.101 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). In accordance with Part 19 of the FAR, this procurement has been deemed a total 8(a) set-aside. As such, competition will be limited exclusively to small business concerns expressly certified by the Small Business Administration (SBA) for participation in the SBA's 8(a) Program. The NAICS Code identified for this procurement is 561621. The solicitation document will be posted on the internet at http://www.procurement.irs.treas.gov/ within 3 days of the publication date of this synopsis. All vendors who download a copy of the solicitation and wish to be included on the Bidders List must register by e-mail to *awss-irssms@irs.gov. This e-mail address may only be used for registration purposes. The registration should include only the company name, address and point of contact. The registration should not include questions, advertisements or other non-pertinent information. This registration should not be considered a request for the solicitation. Copies of the solicitation can only be obtained from the internet address listed above. All relevant information regarding proposal preparation and submission will be included in the solicitation document. Any future amendments to the solicitation will also be posted to that site. Questions regarding this procurement must be submitted in writing within 10 days of the solicitation?s posting date. Additional information regarding questions will be included in the solicitation.
