- This is a pre-solicitation notice for commercial services. Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary for the replacement of elevator ropes and governors in building 4550, Wilford Hall Medical Center, located on Lackland AFB TX. Contractor shall install new ropes, governors, and other associated parts on Material Handling Elevator A, B, C, and E and perform all inspections, certifications, and tests required in compliance with federal, state, and local laws and codes. Contractor shall also perform load testing and perform any repairs to braking systems on each elevator in accordance with the elevator manufacturer?s recommendations. Contractor shall ensure the work area is kept clean and free of debris at all times. Contractor shall post ?out of service? signs on elevator(s) being worked on. All work provided shall be warranted for a minimum of one year. The solicitation must be downloaded from www.eps.gov, as no paper copies will be issued. The solicitation will be available on or about 21 July 2003 using the commercial format (FAR 12). This procurement is restricted to 100% small business. NAICS code is 811310 and applies to this procurement. The size standard is no more than $6 million revenue over the last three years. Wage Determination Number 1994-2521, revision 25 (06/21/02) applies to this solicitation. All parties must be Central Contractor Registered (CCR) as prescribed in DFARS 252.202-7004 and 252.232-7009. CCR can be obtained by calling 1-888-227-2423 or www.ccr.gov. CCR must be obtained before award.
