- Description
- Contractor shall furnish all management, supervision, labor, material, and equipment necessary to refurbish halon fire extinguishers for Davis-Monthan AFB, Tucson Arizona. Work includes refurbishing sixty 150 LB halon extinguishers to include; shot blast, primer and paint frame and cylinder with red urethane paint (#11136 of Fed-Std 595 or equivalent); hydrostatic testing of chemical cylinder; replace maintenance decal (part#03624); replace instruction decal (part#7481); and repair labor to include welding, fabricating and straightening. Fire extinguishers shall be picked-up from the Flight Line Fire department (FLFD), serviced and returned to the FLFD. The basic period of performance will begin on or about 1 October 2003 and continue through 30 August 2004. There will be four additional one-year option periods available, all of which will be included in the evaluation for award. This solicitation is set-aside exclusively for small businesses. The applicable NAICS Code for this solicitation is 325998. The corresponding size standard is 500 employees. This Request for Proposal will be issued in a commercial format using Past Performance/Price Tradeoff evaluation procedures. The solicitation will be issued on or about 24 July 2003. It will be available only via the Electronic Procurement System (http://www.fedbizopps.gov/). No paper copies will be furnished.
