Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons - Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to make a single award to a qualified small business for the provision of one (1) Dental Hygienist and one (1) Bilingual Dental Assistant for the Federal Correctional Institution, Terminal Island, California. Services will be performed on individuals who are under the custody and care of the Federal Bureau of Prisons within a secure correctional environment. The contract term shall consist of a base period from the date of award through 12 months with four (4) subsequent, 12 month option periods for renewal if exercised. The successful contractor shall provide services which include, but are not limited to the following: Bilingual (English/Spanish) Dental Assistant -Chair-side assistance for all dental procedures, must be certified to perform coronal polishing, licensed to operate radiographic equipment for oral radiography, proficient in basic computer usage skills. Dental Hygienist- Perform routine and extensive prophylactic procedures, therapeutic procedures, and participates in monitoring and evaluating the quality and appropriateness of patient care. The number of hours per week for any service will not exceed thirty (30) hours. The solicitation will be made available on or about August 11, 2003, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administrations?s Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizzopps.gov. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website.
