- Description
- The work shall consist of providing engineering services to Environmental Quality Incentive Program (EQIP) participants as required to design and implement the irrigation system and irrigation water conveyance components of their conservation plan. These components may include but are not limited to: ? Sprinkler Irrigation Systems ? Micro Irrigation Systems ? Surface Irrigation Systems ? Irrigation Storage Reservoirs ? Irrigation water conveyance pipelines, canals and ditches ? Water measurement NRCS has identified a need to provide engineering services for up to 150 EQIP program participants over the duration of this project. The participants are distributed throughout Utah AS FOLLOWS: Services to be provided may include but are not limited to: ? site investigation ? surveying ? soil sampling ? hydrology ? hydraulic design ? structural design ? soil mechanics design ? preparation of construction drawings and specifications ? development of Operation and Maintenance Plans ? construction site layout ? construction observation ? quality assurance testing ? construction checkout ? preparation of as-built drawings All services shall be provided in accordance with applicable NRCS policy and criteria that can be found as follows: Utah NRCS Field Office Technical Guide: http://efotg.nrcs.usda.gov NRCS National Engineering Handbook References: http://www.info.usda.gov/CED/ Utah NRCS Irrigation Guide (available from Utah-NRCS Field Offices) The respondent must demonstrate the ability to become certified as a Technical Service Provider (TSP) for Irrigation Water Management within 45 days of contract award.
