- Description
- The work shall consist of providing technical services to Environmental Quality Incentive Program (EQIP) participants as required to implement the irrigation water management related components of their conservation plan. These components may include but are not limited to: ? Develop irrigation water management plan ? Estimating crop irrigation water requirements ? Irrigation water measurement ? Irrigation scheduling ? Irrigation system evaluation ? Irrigation pumping plant evaluation NRCS has identified a need to provide Irrigation Water Management services for up to 30 EQIP program participants over the duration of this project. The participants are distributed throughout Area One - Utah as shown on the attached map: All services shall be provided in accordance with applicable Utah NRCS policy and criteria which can be found at: NRCS-Utah Field Office Technical Guide: http://efotg.nrcs.usda.gov Utah Irrigation Guide (can be obtained from Utah-NRCS Field Offices) The respondent must possess knowledge of conservation planning techniques; an understanding of basic agronomy, engineering, and soil science principles as related to irrigation, knowledge of the operational requirements for a variety of irrigation system types, proficiency in the use of Irrigation Water Requirement software (IWR) and Utah-specific Excel spreadsheets, and good communication skills. The respondent must demonstrate the ability to become certified as a Technical Service Provider (TSP) for Irrigation Water Management within 45 days of contract award.
