- NA This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 and FAR part 13, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Quotations are being requested and a written so licitation will not be issued. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) in Warren, MI, has a requirement for the following: Aerobic/anaerobic respirometer (25-2000 ml sample volume). The respirometer must be able to cover a wide range of ASTM D5864, ASTM D6731, OECD 301B, and OECD 301F test methods to determine biodegradability of oils. Respirometer must be equipped with the following: 20 each, C-Cap ready detector heads with 45 mm screw fitting connector; all wetted parts constructed of Teflon and stainless steel; 20 each, C-cap carbon dioxide absorption probes; 20 each, 1L sample flasks; 1 each, heat only temperature-controlled, floor standing, mobile trolley water bath (heat excha nger to provide cooling by client's own thermo circulator or chilled water supply; 1 each, 20-channel control and logging systems; 1 each, copy WINRESP data acquisition and control software installed on a suitable P.C. (Pentium 800 or faster with 2 each 16 550 serial ports). Failure to meet specifications will be grounds for rejection. The combined synopsis/Request for Quotation (RFQ) number is DAAE07-03-Q-L502. The solici tation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-13 dated 17 Apr 03. The following provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors, FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certifications-Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, DFARS 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable To Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items (May 2002). This acquisition is rated DO-A4. The associated North American Industrial Code System (NAICS) code is 3345 16. Offers are due no later than 28-July-03 Noon, (Eastern). Note: All contractors must be registered in the Central Contract Registry (CCR) prior to receiving an award; see web-site www.ccr.gov for details on CCR.
