- NAICS Code: 5417 The U.S. EPA, ORD, Air Pollution Technology Branch, Research Triangle Park, NC is seeking to obtain student services, for one student only, under the authority of 43 US Code Section 5d. The student will work closely with two research engineers on a project designed to measure the adsorption and desorption of chemical agent surrogates by various filter media. This work will be an in-house effort to be performed in a laboratory under normal conditions using an electrically heated furnace beginning in August 2003 and continuing through August 2005. The student shall have completed a minimum of 2 years of college with preference given to those that have received a four-year degree (BA/BS) in engineering, chemistry or biochemistry. The level of academic education needed would include courses in general chemistry, organic chemistry, physical chemistry, quantitative analysis and statistics. The student shall also have taken the lab courses associated with the course work listed above. Compensation is commensurate with the level of education and experience. The anticipated hourly rate range will be $11.84 for 2 or more years of college through $29.10 for PhD-2nd year. The position is considered full-time, up to 40 hours per week. The principle duty station is located in Research Triangle Park, NC.
