- Description
- The Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, materials, supplies, and equipment necessary to collect and dispose of solid waste, including the collection and disposal of garbage, debris, rubbish, recyclables, and other discarded solid wastes resulting from residential, industrial, commercial, and community activities, as specified in the specifications and drawings attached. Excluded from this function is collection and disposal of: (1) hazardous wastes, (2) solids or dissolved materials in domestic sewage, (3) other pollutants in water resources such as silt and dissolved or suspended solids, and (4) infectious/medical wastes. The contract type is Combination Firm Fixed-Price/Indefinite Quantity. The contract will include a base period of 12 months, with four 12-month options. The entire solicitation will be available for viewing and downloading at http://www.esol.navfac.navy.mil on 16 July 2003. All prospective offerors are encouraged to register themselves on the web site. HARD COPIES OR CD-ROMS OF THE SOLICITATION OR THE PLANHOLDERS LIST WILL NOT BE PROVIDED BY THE GOVERNMENT. ALL CONTRACTURAL AND TECHNICAL QUESTIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED IN WRITING AND MAY BE FAXED TO (706)354-7304 OR EMAILED TO RICHARD.PITTMAN@CNET.NAVY.MIL. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS FOR INFORMATION WILL BE ACCEPTED. All future amendments will be posted on the web site for downloading. This will be the only method of distributing amendments; therefore; it is the offeror's responsibility to check the web site periodically for any amendments to this solicitation. All contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database in order to receive an award. The CCR web site is http://www.ccr.gov.
