- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) intends to initiate a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) with DRS Phototronics, Inc., Oakland, NJ 07436. The purpose of the proposed BOA and all subsequent order placed under it is to procure teardown, evaluation, repair and calibration of the Weapon Boresighting Equipment. The proposed BOA for repair/evaluations services shall be for a period of three (3) years. Repairs will consist of the following: inspect, test, calibrate, repair, modify, restore, and/or return to ready-for-issue (RFI) condition. All repairs will be done using original manufactured replacement parts. DRS Phototronics is the sole designer and manufacturer of the A/U36-M-1(V) Weapon Boresighting Equipment. The technical data and drawings for the A/U36-M-1(V) are proprietary to DRS Phototronics Inc. NAWCADLKE intends to procure this under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (C) (1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1. No solicitation package is available for this procurement. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal, which may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. See note 22.
