- Description
- The U.S. Geological Survey, Biological Resource Division, in Moreno Valley, CA intends to make a sole source award to Dr. Wayne Alley, 6408 Livia Avenue, Temple City, CA 91780, for non-personnel services to provide analytical support. Contractor will evaluate different statistical tests to be used to analyze existing biological data sets, which deal with the ecology of the desert tortoise and its habitats, and preliminary and final analytical work on statistics, including simple and complex statistics. The advice, interpretations, and analyses are needed for manuscripts that are in the process of being completed for several different journals. Contractor's specialties in this field: familiar with biological data sets from the National Training Center at Fort Irwin, California; background on understanding the vegetation (habitat) and distribution of animal populations. Period of performance is from September 1, 2003 to August 31, 2005. This notice is for informational purposes only. This is not a request for competitive quotes. Interested vendors may identify their interest and capability to respond within ten days of this announcement. All responses must be in writing by facsimile to the Contracting Officer at (650) 329-5114 or email vfriesner@usgs.gov. A determination not to continue with this acquisition based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive acquisition.
