- Description
- The Bureau of Reclamation intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES), 2305 Renard Place, SE, Suite 200, Albuquerque, New Mexico, 87119-9828, to acquire conference sponsorship of the 2003 AISES National Conference to be held at the Albuquerque Convention Center, Albuquerque, New Mexico, which includes Career Fair Exhibitor Registration and Booth space. The proposed action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). The justification for this sole source procurement is that the Government believes that only one responsible source can provide the services that will satisfy the agency requirements. Any firm that believes it can furnish the sponsorship described above is encouraged to give written notification to the Contracting Officer. Supporting evidence must be furnished, in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. All responses received within 7 days of the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses should include the firm's business size (e.g. Small business, other than small business) in accordance with the size standard: $6.0 million for North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 531110
