- NA The USPFO for California is soliciting bids for the project entitled Construct New Readiness Center (Armory) for the Army National Guard located at March Air Reserve Base, Moreno Valley, Riverside County, California. The project includes the construction of a 75,000 Readiness Center of concrete tilt-up type construction, with concrete floors and a standing metal seam roof. A two-story structure with mechanical and electrical equipment. Secondary structure is a 12,400 sf unheated metal storage building. Outside supporting facilities include military and privately-owned vehicle parking, fencing, sidewalks, underground and overhead utilities, outside lighting, access roads, detached facility sign, wash platform, fuel storage dispensing system, and flagpole. This Invitation for Bid is unrestricted, however if a HUB ZONE small business submits an offer, all offers will be evaluated by adding a factor of 10% to the price, except that of a HUB zone small business concern and other small businesses, in accordanc e with FAR 52.219-4 unless waived by the HUB zone small business. The solicitation will be issued on/about 15 August 2003; bid opening will be on/about 18 September 2003. There will be a job walk scheduled on/about the 9th of September. There will be a c harge for the plans and specifications but is yet to be determined. A correction to this notice will be posted once this information is available. Bid will be opened at the USPFO for California, Contracting Office, P.O. Box 8104, San Luis Obispo, CA 934 03-8104 or may be hand delivered to Building 633, Highway 1, Camp San Luis Obispo, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401. Bids from large businesses must comply with the requirement to submit a subcontracting plan. All bidders are required to check the Fed Biz Ops web site daily to be notified of any changes to the solicitation. Notification of changes and/or amendments shall be made via the internet. The applicable NAICS code for this procurement is 23610; SIC code is 1541. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor registration (CCR) before an award can be made; see website www.ccr.gov to register.
