Description
NA 1. DESCRIPTION OF WORK 1.1 Work to be Done: The work covered by this contract consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials and performing all operations required in connection with ??????Replace HVAC, Bldg. 1221 and Bldg 1279, Hunter Army Airfield, GA .?????? This work i s to be completed in strict accordance with specifications and drawings, subject to the terms and conditions of the contract and as ordered by the Contracting Officer. The work includes, but is not limited to, the following items. 1.1.1 Remove and dispose of existing air handling units, chilled/hot water piping, steam supply piping, pumping systems, condensate return piping, unit heaters, and associated HVAC controls as indicated. 1.1.2 Provide and install chilled/hot water piping, steam supply piping, pumping systems, condensate return piping, unit heaters, and associated HVAC controls as indicated. 1.1.3 Provide and install air handling units and connect to existing ductwork as indicated. 1.1.4 Replace existing HVAC control system with electronic or electric components. 1.1.5 Reconnect to existing electrical service and provide new electrical service as applicable. 1.1.6 Clean existing ductwork and associated air devices. 1.1.7 Test and balance new heating/cooling system, duct work and diffusers in accordance with specifications. 2. SCHEDULING OF WORK 2.1 The contractor shall schedule work through the Contracting Officer??????s Representative (COR) five working days in advance of the anticipated start date. 2.2 Work shall be performed during normal post duty hours which are 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. 2.3 All contractor personnel working on Hunter Army Airfield shall have a picture type identification (ID) indicating their name, company, and other pertinent information; such as the project they are working on, home office number, job title, Social Secur ity Number, date of birth, height, weight, hair color, eye color, gender and their signature. This ID will allow verification, by Government inspectors, military security, and other personnel, that the contractor is authorized to be on the installation. The badge shall be approved by the COR. 3. OCCUPANCY DURING CONSTRUCTION 3.1 The building will be occupied and normal business will be conducted during the construction period. Access areas and passageways shall be kept clear during construction. Demolished equipment will not be left or stored in occupied parts of the buildi ng. 4. AS?BUILT RECORD DRAWINGS: 4.1 The Contractor shall be responsible for maintaining one set of master prints of the job site, on which he shall keep a neat and accurate record of all deviations from the original contract documents as the work progresses. The Contractor is responsib le for noting all changes and corrections on these record drawing prints promptly as the changes occur, but in no case less often than on a weekly basis. The record prints which are maintained shall indicate all changes and modifications incorporated into the work as well as the following: 4.2 Any shop drawings which constitute part of the project shall be included with the record drawings. 4.3 The master/record prints with corrections noted, shall be certified as to their correctness by the signature of the Contractor, then submitted to the COR for approval. Once the provisional master/record prints has been approved by the COR, the Contra ctor is then required to obtain films (Mylar) of the same master/record drawings from the DPW, Engineer Plans & Services Division, building 1114 at Ft. Stewart or building 1021 at Hunter AAF as applicable. Point of Contact is Jerry Ennis, phone number (91 2) 767?5908. All Corrections noted on the master/record prints shall then be transferred to the films (Mylar) by the Contractor. The films (Mylar) with all corrected data shall be turned over to the COR for final approval and at this time the Contractor may rece ive final payment. 5. QUALIFICATIONS OF CONTRACTOR Contractor shall have a minimum of 5 years experience in the business of installing/repairing HVAC systems. Experience shall have been on a full time basis.
