- Description
- Eglin AFB FL has a requirement to Renovate Building 3076, Duke Field, Eglin AFB FL. The NAICS code for this requirement is 236210 with a size standard of $28.5M. This acquisition is a competitive HUBZone set-aside. This is a Performance Price Trade Off acquisition and award will be made based upon the Best Value to the Government in accordance with FAR 15.3. The Government reserves the right to award the contract to other than the lowest proposed price. All responsible HUBZone certified firms may submit an offer that shall be considered by the agency. This project includes, but not limited to, furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, and materials and performing all operations to renovate building 3076, Duke Field, Eglin AFB FL. In general, the work will consist of Architectural, selective demolition and renovation of various interior areas and prepare and paint exterior CMU wainscot. Mechanical; provide air handling units and associated ductwork and grilles in two areas to provide cooling, heating and required outside air for renovated office and classroom areas. Electrical; install new lighting, power, LAN/COM systems in various interior areas. Modify existing power system and extend new feeders with electrical panel boards as required. Modify existing fire alarm system and add new detectors, audible and visual alarm devices. The above general description of work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the Contractor to perform all work and furnish all labor, materials, and equipment complete in accordance with the plans and specifications. Performance period is 150 calendar days. Estimated dollar range is between $250,000.00 and 500,000.00. This is a paperless acquisition. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available on the Federal Governments Electronic Posting System (www.eps.gov) on or about 4 August 2003. The ESTIMATED PRORPOSAL DUE DATE is 4 September 2003. No response to this notice is necessary and no Source List will be maintained. Prospective contractors must be registered in the DOD Central Contractors Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a Government contract. Offeror?s are further advised that failure to register in the CCR database will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS Number. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after closing date, with no obligation to the offeror by the Government. See Note 26.
