- Description
- Eglin AFB FL has a requirement to Replace Two Bridges at Eglin AFB Reservations. The NAICS code for this requirement is 237310 and the size standard is $28.5M. This acquisition is UNRESTRICTED in accordance with the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program. This is a Performance Price Tradeoff acquisition and award will be based upon the best value to the Government in accordance with FAR 15.3. The Government reserves the right to award the contract to other than the lowest proposed price. All responsible sources may submit an offer that shall be considered by the agency. This project includes, but not limited to, furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, and materials and performing all operations in the construct design two replacement bridges to cross Titi Creek. These bridges should be concrete bridges and meet standard Florida DOT type bridges. Approach roadway realignment will be made. The new bridges will be 12 feet wide and approximately 30 feet long. Provide railing. Demolition of existing bridges is required. This work is on the Eglin AFB Reservation. Insure all environmental issues are addressed including any FL DEP and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers wetlands concerns. Also properly address any endangered species issues with Eglin AFB Jackson Guard personnel and Fish and Wildlife personnel. The above general description of work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the contractor to perform all work and furnish all labor, materials, and equipment complete in accordance with the plans and specifications. Performance period is 180 calendar days. Estimated dollar range is between $250K and $500K. This is a paperless acquisition. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued. The request for proposal (RFP) will be available on the Federal government?s electronic posting system (www.eps.gov) on or about 31 July 2003. THE ESTIMATED PROPOSAL DUE DATE IS 31 AUG 03. No response to this notice is necessary, and no source list will be maintained. Prospective contractors must be register in the DOD Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a Government contract. Offeror are further advice that failure to register in the CCR database will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUN number. Recommended registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award. FUNDS ARE NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE FOR THIS PROJECT. No award will be made until funds are available to make payments under this contract. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after closing date, with no obligation to the offeror by the Government. See note 26.
