Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) anticipates issuing a solicitation to Replace/enhance telephone systems comprising complete digital/analog voice telephone systems as Electronic Private Automatic Branch Exchange and will be referred to as "PBX's" with attendant console(s). The existing PBX at Boston shall be replaced with a Digital Voice Corporation (DVC) platform, and the existing DVC PBX's at Brockton and West Roxbury shall be an upgraded to current technology with the latest software release available at conversion. Attendant console PCs with monitors and keyboards shall be provided and support automated directory access. Voice Mail, Automated Attendant, Automatic Call Distribution (ACD), Interactive Voice Response (IVR), Fax Mail, and call detail reporting shall also be provided for one or more of the sites. Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) functions must be supported for both trunks and end user devices. The necessary interfaces, to include hardware and software, to support wireless functionality shall be provided. The PBX; Voice Mail/Automated Attendant; ACD; IVR; VoIP, and Fax Mail under consideration shall be contracted on the basis of one supplier providing all items in the statement of work as a total system including installation, warranty services, and any follow-on service for the term of the contract. Offerors must be bonafide companies dealing in digital and voice PBX telephone systems with installed and operating systems located within the continental United States and available for inspection, upon request by the VA. The proposal request package will only be available on the Web. The date for receipt of initial proposals is 2:00 PM EDST, August 5, 2003.
