- Description
- The John D Dingell Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center intends to negotiate a procurement for Home Health Aide services. The proposed coverage area will be the city of Detroit and Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties. Specific duties will be patient personal care (all activities of daily living): bathing, dressing, toileting, tranferrring, feeding, continence, and light housekeeping; environmental care; performance of tasks in support of established therapeutic treatment goals; ability to organize work for completion in a specified timeframe; ability to document patient care activities; ability to commumicate patient releated problems to the RN Supverisor at time of occurence; ability to take and record all vital signs; ability to collect urine/stool specimens; ability to empty indwelling catheter bags and/or drainage reservoirs; ability to weigh client and measure blood glucose using accu-chek, and change sterile dressing. Also, must be able to maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTES. NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS WILL BE ISSUED. Firms that believe they can meet and/or exceed the VA's requirements must submit proof to the Contracting Officer no later that July 21, 2003 at 4:00PM local time. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive or sole source procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. See numbered note 22.
