- Description
- Contractor shall completely prepare the site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures and equipment, and furnish labor, materials and equipment necessary to perform the work for project 538-03-103 entitled "Replace Electrical Distribution System, Phase II" at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Chillicothe, Ohio as required by the drawings and specifications. The work includes replacement of existing medium voltage distribution circuits, rehabilitation of the main substation air circuit breakers, replacement of indoor transformers, and installation of a new generator switch and maintenance and testing. Work to be completed within 270 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Plans and specifications will be available o/a 08/05/03. Drawings will not be available on the web and there will be a $20.00 non-refundable deposit for the drawings. Requests for drawings must be in writing, accompanied by a check or money order made payable to the VA Medical Center, Chillicothe, Ohio. Estimated cost range is between $1,000,000.00 and $2,000,000.00. A pre-bid conference and site visit will be held Tuesday, August 19, 2003 at 10:00 am (local time) at the DVA Medical Center, Building 28, Room 213, 17273 State Route 104, Chillicothe, Ohio. All prospective contractors, subcontractors and suppliers are encouraged to attend. This solicitation is 100% Set-Aside for HubZone Contractors (see numbered note 27). NAICS 238210
