- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a quote is being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This request for quotation (RFQ), number 03EOIG000882, is for the purchase and delivery of an integral convert video and audio surveillance system that can be deployed in any environmental situation criminal investigators may encounter. This system can be used to monitor from a vehicle or listening post to a single location or expand to several suspect locations at once. In addition, this system can adjust to record evidence in day, or night, indoors or outdoors and contains all support cables and specialized lenses. This system has the capability of being powered using existing power sources in a room or using vehicle inverters or battery packs. THE GOVERNMENT KNOWS OF ONLY ONE SOURCE, SECURITY PRODUCTS INTERNATIONAL (SPI), POTTSTOWN, PA 19464 CAPABLE OF SATISFYING THE REQUIREMENT DESCRIBED HEREIN AND INTENDS TO NEGOTIATE AN AWARD ON A SOLE-SOURCE BASIS UTILIZING SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION PROCEDURES. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contact based upon responses to this notice is solely with in the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
