Description

The National Institutes of Health, National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK), intends to contract on a sole source basis with Georgetown University, Department of Gastroenterology, Washington DC, for the furnishing of senior residents on a daily basis (rotation) seven days per week to see patients at the NIH during clinic rounds performing procedures and monitoring and working with patients. The senior residents must be trainees in gastroenterology. They will provide performance and training in high-risk procedures in liver diseases. The current contractor is Georgetown University. Authority: 41 USC 253 ? (1), as set forth in FAR 6.302-1. This organization has the prerequisite knowledge, experience, and facilities for the completion of this proposed acquisition by reason of its preliminary and current work on this project. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
