Description
MODIFICATION: THIS NOTICE IS BEING MODIFIED TO WITHDRAW THE REQUIREMENT FOR 100% SET ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS. THIS PROCUREMENT IS FULL AND OPEN. THE RESPONSE DATE IS 08/18/2003. The USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS) has a requirement for all labor, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, transportation and other necessary work to repair storm damage on the Administration Building, Engineering Building, Chemistry Building, Old Dormitory, Old Dormitory Addition, Old Dormitory Garage, East 4-car Garage, Storage Building, Shop Building, Carpenter Shop, West 4-car Garage, and two Quonset Huts. The work is located at the North Appalachian Experimental Watershed Research Facility, Coshocton, OH. The work involves tearing off and replacing asphalt shingles with same on six of the buildings for an approximate total of 130-squares, removing aluminum siding, replacing with vinyl siding on eleven of the buildings for an approximate total of 15,100-sf and scraping and painting the wood trim on three of the buildings, replacing an outside DX condensing unit and providing a bid for optional similar repair work to remaining buildings. The estimated cost of construction is between $100,000 and $250,000. The project must be completed 90 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. All work shall be performed in strict accordance with the Specifications and Drawings. A Bid, Performance & Payment Bond shall be required. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for Small Business. No telephone requests for the solicitation package will be accepted. All responsible and qualified sources may submit a bid that will be considered by the agency. A pre-bid site visit will be scheduled and information provided in the solicitation package. This will be the only opportunity to visit the job site prior to submission of bid.
