Description
MODIFICATION: THIS NOTICE IS BEING MODIFIED TO WITHDRAW THE REQUIREMENT FOR 100% SET ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS. THIS PROCUREMENT IS FULL AND OPEN. THE RESPONSE DATE IS 08/18/03. THE WORK WILL BE PERFORMED IN BUILDING 2 ONLY. The USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS) has a requirement for all labor, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, transportation and other necessary work for Renovation of Existing Buildings 2 and 3 (contained in a singular building) for plant and soil processing. The work is located at the Soil Management Research Facility, Morris, MN. General work includes demolition of block walls, demolition of existing overhead doors, construction of new rooms, installation of new personnel doors, filling in existing doorways with CMU, insulation of an existing space with a false interior wall, installation of new overhead doors, installation of new windows, cooling of some spaces, heating and cooling of some spaces, installation of dust collection system for plant and soil grinding, relocation of an existing cooler, relocation of existing drying ovens, dehumidification, installation of new ventilation system, construction of a small lab space, upgrade of existing service to provide for additional future load (drying ovens), replace existing lighting fixtures. The estimated cost of construction is between $25,000 and $100,000. The project must be completed within 120 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. All work shall be performed in strict accordance with the Specifications and Drawings. A Payment Bonds shall be required. Estimated price range is: Between $25,000 and $100,000. All responsible and qualified sources may submit a bid that will be considered by the agency. A pre-bid site visit will be scheduled and information provided in the solicitation package. This will be the only opportunity to visit the job site prior to submission of bid.
