- MODIFIED BID RESPONSE DATE JULY 25, 2003. United States Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Mid West Area has a project entitled Repair Greenhouse Stub Walls . The project is located at the USDA, ARS, Cereal Disease Laboratory, St. Paul, Minnesota. This work includes, but is not limited to furnishing all labor, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and other necessary work to perform and complete the following: Base Bid includes the restoration of approximately 1,500 square foot of a concrete masonry unit (CMU) knee wall on a research greenhouse. This will include removal and replacement of 250 CMU, sandblasting, replacement of sealants, and the installation of a new masonry coating system. The period of performance is 90 days. All work shall be performed in strict accordance with the Specifications and Drawings. A Payment Bonds shall be required. Estimated price range for Base Bid is: Between $25,000 and 100,000. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for Small Business. The North American Industry Classification System code for this acquisition is 238140, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. The Small Business Size Standard is $12.0 million. This will be the only opportunity to visit the job site prior to submission of bid. The anticipated IFB solicitation package will be available on or about June 9, 2003, with opening date 30 days later.
