Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for Commercial Items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This notice constitutes the only solicitation; price quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation, DTCG81-03-Q-38P503, is issued as a Request For Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) clauses and provisions are available via internet address: http://www.arnet.gov/far/. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 541990, and Small Business Size Standard in dollars is $6.0M. Description of Service: Upgrade and reconfigure setup of existing audio-visual equipment and software using Government Furnished Equipment (GFE). Remove existing softboard in conference room and reinstall in room 211C. Install Sympodium and Smart Board with projector to existing MARDEZLANT conference room computer system. Integrate Sympodium, Smart Board, and projector into computer system. Modify existing computer console to allow access to system components and improve airflow. Install second smart board in room 210A. Modify all point-to-point drawings and user manual. Required services, installation performance standards, government-furnished equipment (GFE), deliverables, warranty, and acceptance shall be in accordance with the statement of work (SOW), which is available upon request. Coast Guard Representative, Lieutenant Commander Robert Studebaker, (757) 869-4769. A site visit is mandatory prior to submitting your quote. Place of Performance and Acceptance: U. S. Coast Guard Atlantic Area Office, 431 Crawford Street, Portsmouth, VA 23704. Submit your quote no later than July 23, 2003, local time 12:00 noon. Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Provisions that applies to this RFQ: 52.212-1, Instruction to Offerors-Commercial Items (Oct 2000), 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items (Jan 1999), and 52.215-5, Facsimile Proposals (Oct 1997). The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsive, responsible offeror whose offer conforms to the solicitation and offers the best value to the Government, with respect to technical merits, delivery time and price. FAR Clause 52.212-3, Offeror’s Representations and Certifications – Commercial Items (May 2001) MUST AND SHALL be completed and submitted with the RFQ’s. FAR Clause that applies to this RFQ: 52.232-8, Discount for Prompt Payment (May 1997).
