- Description
- This acquisition is for a requirements contract for a one- year base period plus two, one year, pre-priced option periods. The base period will run from 01 Aug 03 through 31 Jul 04. Work consists of 1) repair to existing asphalt or concrete pavements which may include, but is not limited to excavate/dispose, cold milling, pulverizing, base course, patching, tack coat, joint and crack sealing, asphalt overlay, storm sewers, raising utility covers and pavement markings; 2) construct new asphalt or concrete pavements, either small parking lots and/or short roads which may include but is not limited to excavate/dispose, base course, storm sewers, asphalt overlay, raising utility covers, and pavement markings; 3) sidewalks, curbs and curbs and gutters in new areas or replacing existing damaged areas; 4) military family housing driveways, widening and repair; 5) demolition of existing pavements and restoration of those areas. This work will take place in various locations on McChord AFB and in Military Family Housing areas. The magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000 for the base year and each of the two option periods. The aggregate magnitude of construction for all years is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The applicable NAICS Code is 237310 with a small business size standard of $28.5 Million. In accordance with FAR 19.1300, this acquisition is being considered for HubZone set aside. If your firm is HubZone certified and intends to propose on this acquisition, you are requested to provide the following information to the Contracting Officer not later than ten (10) days after the publication of this notice. 1) SBA certification of HubZone eligibility; 2) A capability statement of your firm; and 3) A positive statement that your firm intends to propose on this acquisition. Based on the responses received to this notice, the Contracting Officer will make a determination that if there is not a reasonable expectation of adequate competition from HubZone certified firms, the acquisition will be conducted under full and open competition procedures. Issuance of this solicitation will occur on or about 27 May 03 with a closing date for receipt of proposals on or about 26 Jun 03. The solicitation as well as all amendments will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities Website at www.eps.gov.
