Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number N68836-03-T-0228 is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-14 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-13. This solicitation is issued on a 100% Small Business Set-Aside basis. The NAICS Code 326199, size standard 500 employees. The USS De Wert (FFG-45), Naval Station, Mayport, Fl., 32228 requires renovation of several habitability spaces; Scope of Work: 1. Wardroom: A. Bulkhead: remove and dispose of existing wall covering and chair rail. Prep surfaces. Reinstall new vinyl backed wall cover above chair rail, type IV HPPL, below chair rail. B. (2) Stanchion Poles: remove existing covering, prep surfaces, and reinstall new HPPL around both poles. C. Seating: refurbish/reupholster the two-man and three-man sofas. D. Buffet/Salad Bar: remove all existing HPPL and replace with new. Refurbish the brass and replace the sneeze shield. E. Beverage Line: replace HPPL for counter tops and cabinets. F. Modular entertainment/bookcase: remove existing laminate and install new HPPL. 2. Crew's Mess Decks: A. Beverage Line: remove and replace the laminate on the countertops, cabinets, and back splashguards. Provide and install (1) HPPL covered silverware holder with lockable lid. B. Salad Bar: re-laminate countertop and garnish tray. C. Seating: re-powdercoat (28) chairs. Replace (28) 180-degree swivels. Reupholster (10) booth seat and back cushions with new vinyl covers. D. Dining Tabletops: replace existing laminate for (4) booth tabletops with sea rails, (4) outrigger tabletops, and (2) six-man tabletops. E. Table Covers with Ship's Crest Centered: manufacture (8) table covers with ship's crest (46 in x 46 in with a 5in drop) and (2) table covers with ship's crest (66 in x 46 in with a 5 in drop). F. Passageway Partition: remove (5) existing sheets of tempered glass, etch ship's crest on three sheets (18 in x 24 in centered), ESWS insignia on one sheet (6 in by 24 in centered), and Food Service Insignia on one sheet (18 in by 18 in centered), and reinstall glass. Polish and provide protective coating for brass channels, header angles, stanchions, poles, and clips. 3. Learning Resource Center: A. Conference Table: remove existing laminate and apply new HPPL. B. Refurbish/reupholster (1) two-seat sofa and (1) three-seat "L" shaped sofa. C. Manufacture and install corner panel to fill void behind "L" shaped sofa.
