- Description
- The Coastal Systems Station, Panama City, Florida, intends to issue a sole source requirement to DP Enterprises to upgrade a total of forty-eight (48) hose assemblies and deliver them to the Government. This effort will consist of the upgrade of hose assembly 53711ASSY6640965-226 to hose assembly 2633-100-01ASSY268. Only DP Enterprises can perform this effort for the following reasons. The hose assemblies form highly specialized life support systems under the NAVSEA Diving Certification Authority. Only those articles which have been successfully tested are qualified. Procedures are specified under SS521-AA-MAN-010 U.S. Navy Diving and Manned Hyperbaric Certification Manual. The objective of this process is to verify that the life support system provides acceptable levels of diver safety throughout the specified operating range when approved operating and maintenance proce dures are followed. The intent of the process is to provide maximum reasonable assurance that an accident will not occur and establishes maximum reasonable assurance that the diver or firefighter may be recovered without injury if there is an accident. DP Enterprises is the only source available that is certified to complete the upgrade to the hose assemblies. FSC Code: 4720, NAICS: 332999, SBA Size Standard: 500 employees.
