- 17. The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to solicit for engineering support services for Combat Systems Engineering, Computer Program Maintenance, In-Country Support, Alteration Installation and Overhauls, Staging and Follow-On Testing in FY04 with options for FY05 through FY08. This contract will provide AEGIS FMS support to the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) DDG-173 Class Ships and contain options for other AEGIS FMS Support (e.g. Norway, Spain and Korea). The engineering services will support existing shipboard and land-based applications. The proposed contractual effort requires unique knowledge of and expertise with existing AEGIS Combat Systems. This contract will be issued under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) to Lockheed Martin Naval Electronic & Surveillance Systems, 199 Borton Landing Road, Moorestown, NJ 08057-0927 as they are currently the on ly firm with this experience in Combat Systems Engineering.
