Description

The contractor shall provide all labor, management, supervision and equipment required to provide rough terrain cranes and miscellaneous weigh handling equipment and services at the Naval Submarine Base New London, Groton, Connecticut. The contractor is to provide all scheduled manufacturer recommended maintenance and repairs other than daily lubrication. This solicitation also includes provisions for Contractor provided qualified operator and rigging services on an as required basis. All cranes and equipment must be Contractor owned. Third party leasing is unacceptable. The NAICS Code is 238990 and has a Small Business Standard of $12.0 million. The IFB will be issued using full and open competition (unrestricted) and is therefore subject to Federal Acquisition Regulation Clause 52.219-4, Notice of Price Evaluation Preference for HubZone Small Business Concerns. This is an Indefinite Quantity Contract with a minimum guarantee of $100,000. THE ?ISSUE DATE? AND ?BID/DUE DATE? STATED IN THIS NOTICE ARE APPROXIMATE DATES. The approximate release date is July 30, 2003 and will be available in the Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) electronic file format which can be downloaded from the official website at http://esol.navfac.navy.mil. The free Acrobat Reader required to view .pdf files can be downloaded from the Adobe website. Only those contractors registered in ESOL will be notified by email upon availability of the solicitation and any amendments for download. The official Planholders List will be maintained on-line and can be printed from the website. Contractors are required to register in the Department of Defense (DOD) Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database. Failure to register in the CCR may render an offeror ineligible for award of DOD contracts.
