Description

This synopsis is for an unrestricted solicitation for a construction contract that includes, but is not limited to, providing all labor, materials, supplies, tools, equipment, facilities and transportation necessary to upgrade and repair the Interior Structure at Hangar 809 on Travis Air Force Base (AFB), California, in accordance with contract drawings and specifications. The work covered under this contract is a full renovation to approximately 3000 and 4000 square feet of office space(s) inside a hangar building, to include purchase and installation of a new overhead crane, and modification of a radiant heat system. The provided description of work is for general information only. It is not intended to describe the entire scope of work. The work for this contract falls under the North American Industry Classification Standard (NAICS) code 236210 with a small business size standard of $28,500,000 average annual revenue for the previous three years. The Government intends to award an unrestricted Firm Fixed Price (FFP) type contract with a period of performance of 365 calendar days from issuance of Notice to Proceed. The estimated magnitude of construction for this contract is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000 per the standards listed in FAR 36.204. Award of this contract will be made utilizing the Price-Past Performance Trade-Off (PPT) technique where past performance and price are equally used to determine awardee. The solicitation number, F04626-03-R-0121, will only be issued electronically and can be found on the FedBizOpps Internet website (http://www.fedbizopps.gov) on or about 4 Aug 03. **NOTE: The solicitation issuance date is only an estimated date and the actual issuance date can be before or after the stated date. Receipt of proposals will occur 30 days from the date of solicitation issuance, and is currently scheduled for 2 Sept 03. Fax, telephone, written or e-mail requests for the solicitation package will not be honored. No paper copies of the solicitation will be issued. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract nor does it obligate the Government to pay for any proposal preparation costs. Potential offerors are responsible for retrieving the package.
